A night turned to dust

Khan fuse hazy psychedelia and heavy stoner riffs into something Elder would recognise but never quite dare. Progressive rhythms, industrial-scale crescendos, vocals that shift between ethereal falsetto and guttural screams. Latest album That Fair and Warlike Form // Return to Dust — two tracks, both well over twenty minutes. No rush. No compromise. Dust off at the door.

Warsaw is coming. Brace yourself.
Weedpecker are five albums deep and still sound like they just discovered how heavy psychedelics can get. Dreamy, expansive heavy psych with stoner gravity, swirling keyboards and riffs that slowly empty your head. Latest album V on Heavy Psych Sounds. One of Europe’s most essential psychedelic acts, live at De Tanker in Noord.

Some gigs become rituals. This is one of them.

We invite you to step through the Wormhole, leave the daylight behind, and join our cult as Mephistofeles transforms an ordinary Tuesday into an evening where distortion becomes a witches’ chant and every note pulls a little harder on gravity.

On August 4, The Wormhole Cult opens a portal for one of only two Dutch appearances by Argentina’s occult doom phenomenon Mephistofeles. This will be the only show where the entire evening belongs to them. No strict time slot. No rush. Just Mephistofeles with complete freedom to shape the night as they see fit.  Never heard songs, new songs – we expect something rare: a set that can only exist under these conditions.

From the underground of Paraná, Argentina, Mephistofeles emerge with riffs that feel less like songs and more like slow-moving gravitational fields that pull you into deep darkness. Their records drift between crushing weight, narcotic repetition and melodies that seem to arrive from somewhere south of heaven. Every doomy riff unfolds like an invocation. Every song lingers long enough to alter the room. This is occult doom stripped of ornament: hypnotic, ritualistic and impossibly heavy fuzzed-out riffs, the amplifiers becoming the gateways of the ceremony.

There are places where music is performed. And there are places where it is summoned. On August 4 we gather for the latter. Leave certainty and reason outside. Follow the low frequencies into the dark and become part of a night where time slows, gravity bends and the audience dissolves into a satanic ritual.

Norwegian stoner doom giants Kal-El bring bass-heavy grooves, downtuned guitars and sci-fi riffcraft straight from Stavanger — think Dozer and Truckfighters launching into deep space. Amsterdam’s Dunebender keep it heavy and strange with sax-laced stoner doom from the lowlands.

The delta is on fire. Get in.
The Heavy Eyes are psychedelic blues rock from Memphis, Tennessee. Raw, heavy, and soulful in a way that sounds like it was recorded in 1969, but hits like it’s out for revenge. Delta blues, fuzz-drenched riffs, hypnotic grooves. Think Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath raised on Mississippi mud. Get their latest album ‘Love Like Machines’ after the show.

Three bands. One portal.

De Tanker becomes a temporary refuge for those drawn to heavy sounds, wandering minds and the magnetic pull of the riff. Desert Colossus, Cervus and Acid Hammer gather for an evening of fuzz-drenched psychedelia, desert grooves, stoner rock and amplifier-fueled transcendence. Three different paths leading toward the same destination: total immersion.

Expect hypnotic rhythms, towering walls of sound and enough distortion to blur the edges between reality and whatever lies beyond it. But then in a very small room.  This is not a night for spectators. This is a shared descent into the deep end of the underground. No distractions.  Just volume, vibration and the collective ritual of live music.
