Amsterdam used to be a refuge for the free spirited. A place where musicians and misfits could find a stage any night of the week; where the underground was celebrated. But Gentrification is pushing the city into a corner. Money runs the show.
Venues are forced to sell out every night just to survive. That means safer lineups, bigger names, more commercial acts.
The underground? 
Squeezed out.

That’s why The Wormhole Cult exists. We are a new portal to psychedelic & heavy underground rock shows in Amsterdam where the amps are so close they shake your spine while the feedback rewires your brain. Where every riff is a spell and every show a ritual. Where the atmosphere gets thick and time stretches. Eyes closed. Mind open.

We treat musicians like artists, not as entities to extract money from. We’d rather give one killer band the freedom play a full, immersive set than line up a night with forgettable support acts.

We don’t herd the fans out because the venue needs to be prepped for another overpriced EDM event. Just stick around after the show, get a beer, meet the band, while a DJ digs deep into the same sonic underworld.

We’re about connection, not consumption. About giving bands the care and their music the space to hit deep again. We’re the kind of place where, one day, even a big name in heavy music might sneak in for a secret set; just for the true fans. That’s what we mean with ‘Love for loud.’
